About

Shannon M Welsh (b. 1995) lives and works in Cleveland, Ohio. A graduate of Kent State University with a BFA in painting and minors in art history and nonprofit studies, she primarily works in oils.

Her works strives to explore grief and longing. She paints the natural world where our understanding of human emotions intertwines with processing grief. She explores the ambiguity of our combined existences with plant and animal, the moment where the webs of our stories entangle, and we can no longer declare ourselves gods in the face of nature and humanity.

She has exhibited both nationally and locally, including in Akron and Cleveland. She has also been exhibited in various publications in northeast Ohio.
